hardinfo: A Linux Info and Synthetic Benchmark Collection

Tags: benchmark | hardinfo | linux | software

Screenshot of Linux system information tool, hardinfoLooking for a way to stack up your Linux systems with a quick, easy to run synthetic benchmark?  If you're using Debian or Ubuntu you might already have one.

Hardinfo is just such an application, offering up a quick report of your system details along with a few automated benchmarks to compare CPU performance with other machines.

Overall the benchmarking programs could offer up more user setable variables and the ability to re-run or run multiple itterations of tests.  But it already sports a slick interface and an open source license, making it worth a look if you need more features and a clean system benchmarking tool to build on.
