AMD's Phenom platform still has a bit of bite left in it if ASUS's latest offering, the M3A79-T Deluxe, is any indicator.  Although Intel has just released the Core i7 and one-upped their classic rival in CPU performance, that's not where the current gaming bottleneck crops up.

Generally, it's the GPU that limits today's high-end systems.

Which this board has it's sites set to correct.  With no less than 4 PCIe 2.0 8x slots (which will operate at PCIe 2.0 16x in single card configuration) it should have enough backplane to hurtle through the most complex rendering tasks.  NeoSeeker takes us through the boards ups and downs, and looks at how it handles more CPU/memory oriented functions.
